Deployables are items that can be mounted on a Mech
in place of an Attachment. The player can then carry the Deployable to the
location of his choice and deploy it - at which time the item will activate and
perform its
intended function.
Click any
non-station thumbnail to view a picture of that item deployed.
Deployable Stations:
Mobile Mech Bay: A Mobile Mech Bay acts exactly like a
non-mobile Mech Bay save that it it too small to allow pilots to change Mechs.A
Mobile Mech Bay will eventually run out of supplies, so choose items carefully.
Mobile Munitions Bay: Essentially the same as a Mobile
Mech Bay, but it only re-supplies ammunition. The advantage of the Mobile
Munitions Bay is that it takes much longer to run out of supplies than the
Mobile Mech Bay.
Deployable Sensors:
Portable
Radar Dish: Portable Radar Dish offers a small, compact way to spy on enemy
movements over a radius of 200 meters.
Beagle
Active Probe (BAP): The BAP was created as a response to the ECM Pod, which
rendered Mechs invisible to radar. The BAP is a motion detector and
automatically links to all friendly Deployables within a range of 125 meters to enable them
to respond to hostile Mechs.
Portable ECM Pod: The Portable ECM Pod allows one Mech
to create a dead zone in enemy radar coverage with a radius of 80 meters.
Deployable Turrets:
Medium Laser Turret: The Medium Laser Turret is the fastest, easiest
automated turret to deploy. They do not do significant damage to enemy Mechs,
but their flexibility and range of targets makes them one of the most useful
turrets.
Shields:
Weak
Sensor Range: 135 meters
Rate of Fire: Fast
Damage: Minimal
Deploy Area: Any
Arrow IV Turret: Firing the same missile as the Mech-based
Arrow IV, this turret offers the most powerful form of air defense.
Shields:
Good
Sensor Range: 200 meters
Rate of Fire: Very slow
Damage: Extreme
Deploy Area: Floor
Thumper AAA: Originally created as a long-range
deterrent to enemy vehicles, the Thumper AAA also performs well as a bombardment
tool when manually controlled by a Cyclops, or another Mech with an FCC Pod or through a C3 Station.
Shields:
Very good
Sensor Range: 250 meters
Rate of Fire: Moderate
Damage: Heavy
Deploy Area: Floor
Flamer Turret: Used most often within close proximity
to a flag or generator, the Flamer Turret overheats enemy Mechs, making it
difficult for them to escape or fire weapons.
Shields:
Moderate
Sensor Range: 40 meters
Rate of Fire: Constant Damage: Minimal
Deploy Area: Any
Ultra-AC20 Turret: The ultimate in indoor defense, the
Ultra-AC20 Turret has strong shields and can shred the largest Assault Mech in
mere seconds.
Shields:
Very good
Sensor Range: 75 meters
Rate of Fire: Very Fast Damage: Extreme
Deploy Area: Floor
PPC Turret: The standard open-ground turret, the PPC
Turret has long acquisition range and high accuracy. It's strong shields make it
resilient to enemy fire.
Shields:
Very good
Sensor Range: 150 meters
Rate of Fire: Moderate Damage: Heavy
Deploy Area: Floor
Long Tom Artillery: The most destructive weapon in hvMechWarrior, the Long
Tom is strictly used as a siege weapon.
Note: The Long Tom has no automated function, it requires a player's control
to function after deployment.
Shields:
Moderate Sensor Range: n/a
Rate of Fire: Very slow Damage: Extreme
Deploy Area: Floor
