My
"Game Design"
section is divided into four subsections:
1) Tribes:
My favorite first-person-shooter online game, I have developed several
modifications to the game, organized by type:
a) Mods:
Mods are modified game formats, changing some or all features of a game to make
a new style of play.
- hvTactical:
This was my first mod (written
under the alias hvPALANTIRION), based on the popular Renegades Tribes mod, but more
balanced with added features. hvHelplessTarget assisted with the
development of hvTactical.

- hvMechWarrior-v12:
This is the first published attempt to meld the
Tribes and BattleTech genres. hvMechWarrior
was co-written by hvHelplessTarget.
- hvMechWarrior-v14:
This is the much-improved new version of
hvMechWarrior, with many added features.

b) Accessories:
Accessories aid in game play through added function over the base game.
c) Maps:
My Tribes maps were designed to compliment the hvMechWarrior mod, but can be
used with any mod.
d) Skins:
Skins are BMP images that overlay 3D objects supplied by a game.
2) Return to Castle Wolfenstein: A good WWII first-person-shooter, I have written a useful script.
3) Fighter Squadron: My favorite WWII flight simulator, I have made a couple of skins.
4) Need For Speed 6 - Hot Pursuit 2: NFS6 is one of my favorite driving sims, for which I thought I'd make a new car.
