    Tribes is my favorite online game because it offers a wide variety of playing options and with the plethora of mods available one can choose one's style of challenge. Additionally, Tribes is specifically a team-based game. This offers leagues of strategic depth vs. other online games that are designed only to "deathmatch". Unlike many other online games, Tribes is about more than killing enemies. Enemy bases offer additional inanimate targets whose destruction be more desirable than a direct attack on enemy personnel. Finally, Tribes is the only online first-person-shooter that is truly 3-D. Players can fly for limited amounts of time using "jump jets" mounted on their bodies. This adds yet another dimension to the variety of tactics one can employ when playing Tribes.
